If you were born and raised in Cuba, NY and within a few years in age of Jeff - he was bound to be in your life.  That's just the way small towns work.  My Mom gave he and his brother Tim piano lessons.  I was a cheerleader when he was on the field and court.  We were usually at the same bonfire parties at Oil Springs, the Junction or where ever we found ourselves on any given weekend.  For some reason when I first heard that Jeff has passed, my first thought was of coach Victor Ortiz calling him "Jeffroe" which I found and still find amusing....RIP Jeffroe!

Jeff had an impact on all of us.  I am sad to know my friend who made me laugh about old times is gone.  He really loved his children and was a dedicated Dad.  My thoughts are with them.
Jeff's legacy of leaving behind so many loving family and friends is a tribute to who he was.  I will miss you my friend.

I was saddend to hear the news of Jeff's passing.
I will treasure the memories I have of Jeff.
The last time I saw Jeff he couldn't wait to talk about his children and share photo's of them, he was a very proud father.

The years spent working with Jeff in the Hinsdale CSD were both productive and enjoyable.  His contributions to education and the students of the District will have a long range effect on the lives of both current and future children.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.  They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.  Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.  We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.  To know him was to love him.  This is a big loss.  My condolences to all ...

Chris, Nolan, and Ayren....although I have told you this many times over the past few days, I am very sorry you are going through this and am only a phone call away.  I am glad I am able to be with you during this time.  Jeff was a wonderful man and the "big brother" that I always looked up to.  Ayren and Nolan....you are his world.  This is very evident with every conversation your mom and I have about him.  Let the memories you have of him bring a bright spot to your day even in the darkest of them and know that he is now a guardian angel sitting on your shoulders carrying you through each day safely.  I love you all.

Dearest Chris, Nolan and Ayren,  We all wish we could be with you at this time but please know we love you all!  My first memory of Jeff is the first time I came to Grandpa and Grandma's for my first reunion Glendon, Jeff and Ayren who was barely walking were sitting under the trees at the picnic table getting the famous clam chowder ready!!!  Dad and Jeff laughed so hard at this city girl and her way of peeling potatoes!  I will never forget how kind Jeff was to me and made me feel right at home and part of the family!  We will be sending him ballons when you all are celebrating his wonderful life!  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!  We love you Grandma Uncle Darwin and Aunt Mary xoxoxox
